The truth about stable volume…

The allure of stable volume is a great, romantic idea.

The only thing that makes volume truly stable is having
a constant flow of new promoters / distributors joining
your organization and having interaction with the customers.

I learned a long time ago that the real asset isn’t a customer.

The real asset is a “Well Educated Distributor”. That’s what
really pays the bills.

If you have 12 distributors who each get a few customers a month
and are following up with their current customers you will have
a steady source of volume.

Now, try doing that on your own.

Try getting 36 new customers and maintaining 60-70 active customers
all by yourself EVERY MONTH.

You’ll quickly see that it is much easier and much more STABLE when
you have a small army of promoters helping you out.

Bottom line…. active promoters equal stable volume.

Facebook & The Social Media Landscape

Over the last few years, Social Media was seeing double digit growth in
the 30 percent ranges and up.

Last year, Social Media only went up 6.8% in the United States alone.

In addition, Facebook lost over 1.3 Million users
in the 4th quarter of 2012.

Question is, Where is everyone on the internet going?

Are less and less people using social media?? NO.

Some are saying that U.S. Social Media will “slow down to a
trickle” in the coming years ahead even though International
Social Media will continue to boom.

There are more and more competition and tremendously
more Social Platforms like Instagram, Tumblr, GooglePlus, Vine,
etc… which leaves a lot of room for speculation as to
where all the traffic will be headed.

So the real issue actually isn’t are you on Social Media,
the question is WHERE in Social Media are you dominating.

Keep a watchful eye on where you will be spending your time.

Personally, I think Facebook will turn into the “MySpace”
all over again in about 24-48 months.

If you are heavily dependent on Facebook and it’s different
marketing / advertising, I’d probably start diversifying.

I’ve been testing, tweaking, and experimenting with a
number of different social media sites behind the
scenes. Stay tuned for my discoveries.

In the meantime, I’d suggest learning how to make moves
quick with social media (the way it is NOW) while it’s roaring.
This is by far, the best social media course I’ve seen thus far.

Well, the ironic thing is that “Keeping It Simple” is
actually a lot harder than complicating it.

It takes practice, it takes skill, and more practice.

I thought it would be cool to snap a quick pic with my iPhone and show some folks
how a typical day in my home office usually looks. This is actually a REAL TIME snapshot LOL

Obviously, I’m all in with APPLE / MAC equipment. Just fits my style a
little more.

Growing up, people always told me that I had ADD. I never did accept that…
I maintain that I’m just very good at doing a bunch of things (that I love doing)
simultaneously! haha.

Watching the LIVE STREAM from No Excuses Summit 4 happening in Las Vegas Nevada.
This kinda feels weird streaming the event because ever since NES1, I’ve always
attended the actual event.

When I first started attending No Excuses, however, I wasn’t traveling anywhere
near as much I am now. I just came back from Traveling across multiple states
less than a week ago and I wasn’t feeling like leaving the beach so soon.

Some of my thoughts on the speakers so far:

Eric Worre killed it (as he usually does) today. He was one of the first speakers
this morning. He had a really interesting viewpoint on “Loyalty” that you should
probably check out sometime.

Diane Hochmann rocked it on stage in her Diane fashion. She kinda veered off
topic a number of times but always delivered some pretty serious content.

Jerry West rolled out some high level SEO stuff that was pretty content rich
but he kept it bite sized, which was good. Good for the folks that don’t
know alot about the real high tech SEO stuff.

With that, I have some closing remarks regarding the situation that I’m
in personally right now…

So I’m one of those people that has decided to stay home and opt for the
LIVESTREAM. Since I’ve been to these actual events in person and have
never missed it, I can honestly say this.

The experience and level of knowledge that I am getting aren’t even
close to the same as being there in person.

You don’t get the “Breakout Rooms”, relationships, new connections,
“Event Attendee Only Offers”, etc…

Still good stuff though.

If you are ever thinking about opting for a liveStream version of
your company’s event, the only positive thing you will gain is:
saving some money on travel.

However, that’s a very short term outlook because you’d be truly
losing hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars in the
long run.

If you are broke anyway, learn how to make money QUICK in your business.

How to know if your MLM Business will last.

 

I don’t know if it gets any better than “walk away income”
(as they call it in the Investor world) in Network Marketing.

There is an actual method by where you can actually
figure out if you will ever have “walk away” income
in this industry though.

I figured this very complex formula ALL BY MYSELF. Can you believe that??!

Well, if you didn’t know about this FORMULA, you are about to know now.

You see, after years of being in the industry as
a six figure earner, I’ve figured out a pretty intense
method of figuring out if your business has the
longevity factor.

Ok, here it is.

ACTUAL CUSTOMERS + SYSTEM DUPLICATION= PASSIVE INCOME.

And there you have it.

The more customers you have PLUS
the more people you have duplicating a system,
the higher your “walk away” income becomes.

If you have NO ACTUAL customers (not promoter / customers)
and no one actually DUPLICATING a system then
your business is dead meat.

AC + SD= “TRULY PASSIVE” INCOME.

MORE AC PLUS SD= MORE TRULY PASSIVE INCOME.
CRAZY TYPE AC PLUS SERIOUSLY CRAZY SD EQUALS= RIDICULOUS PASSIVE INCOME.

When Friends turn on you in MLM. What to do.

It’s really interesting when I hear the horror stories
from un-assuming MLM reps that run into “NFL Drama” and
don’t know what to do about it.

By the way, “NFL” stands for “No Friends Left”.

Some MLMer’s run into this drama because they don’t really
understand that in order for them to become successful, they
need to start hanging around different people anyway.

Of course, no one UPLINE really wants to tell them that
will most likely happen but it’s a hard reality that only
those WILLING to pay the price will eventually figure out
themselves when the time is right.

Personally, I’ve lost many friends and will continue to lose more.
I also MAKE a considerable amount of NEW friends on a daily basis
(but that’s not the point of this article).

I’ve lost friends in this industry and out of this industry.
I’ve lost friends in my company and out of my company.

It sucks, sure. Is it worth it?? Well, it depends.

You see, I’m from a small town on a small Island here in Hawaii
and everybody knows (or at least they think they know) everything
about your business.

Here’s what most people might not know:

In 2006, I started making money online and told myself I would
NEVER “pitch people I knew”again just because it was too easy to
make money with people you had no pre attached emotions to.

THE DAY THE GAME CHANGED.

One day, as I sat at my computer and stared at the screen,
I felt somewhat empty. Knowing that I was helping so many people
other than my own friends and family. So many of them
were struggling financially as I just watched from the sidelines knowing
I had powerful options that could change their life.

It was easy to shake it off and continue on in my path of “cold market” success.
However, it bothered me.

After a while, the burden became heavy.
I saw a raging fire and I had a water hose.
I saw a serious problem and I had serious answer.
It started to haunt my conscience.

I knew FULL WELL there would be a price for putting myself out
there in my warm market once again, but I was committed
to that price once and for all.

To this day, I’ve created so many success stories and major
financial options for others that it seriously humbles me.

I’ve helped over 300+ people (just in my Visalus Business) get into
a BMW and make an extra $1,800-$2,000 a month.

I make it a point to never forget how just $500 can make a major
difference in peoples lives.

I’ve helped dozens of people (just in my Visalus Business) create
six figure a year incomes.

When you consider the thousands of people NOT IN VISALUS
with me that I coach & train in other companies, the numbers get astounding.

When you consider all the people that have improved their
lifestyles (health, financial, mental, etc…) through
my simple decision it is really overwhelming.

You see, here’s the thing:

It’s usually the people that don’t empower anyone and don’t
give anyone a shot at financial freedom that don’t get talked about.
They are “cool” with the crowd.
They don’t get the “bad press”.
Infact, they are the biggest “MLM Naysayers” out there (which is the funny thing).

However, the ones that give people a shot.
The ones who put themselves out there.
The ones who risk it all for the sake of others.

Those are the ones who will get the most opposition.
You can’t blame the nay sayers.
They are just programmed to be that way.

It’s just a natural way of life. It’s natural progression.

I just had a very interesting discussion with a certain someone
the other day. This person asked me if I felt bad about seeing
people fail after trying “so hard” in their MLM business only to
end up in defeat.

I asked that person if the owner of their company felt bad
about them being on welfare. Obviously, I knew their story.
I asked that person if the owner of that hotel company
felt bad about the fact that they were severely overweight.
Once again… I knew their story.

I also asked that person if anyone felt bad for ME when I was
struggling with no food in my refrigerator at times, car
repossessed, electricity shut off, with a wife and 3 kids to answer
to.

A couple of my “friends” knew of my struggle. Offered some moral support. Nice.

Did anyone FEEL BAD for him?? For me??

I knew the answer to that question was NO. I didn’t expect anyone
to feel sorry for me. I just knew it was going to be worth it one day.

Truth is, my friends manager will CARE LESS when 15-20 years from
now when they get replaced by someone younger, smarter, faster,
who will work for less.

Ok, let’s give Mr. Manager the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe Mr. Manager WILL care.

Question is this: What options will he provide then???

Remember: Person who provides options…bad.
Person who provides none…good???

Seriously?. Interesting.

You see, I used to take it personal. However, as you become more
successful in this industry you begin to understand the
true price for success as a Network Marketing Leader.

I’m not talking about JUST a “Business Owner”,
I’m REALLY targeting the “Network Marketing Business Owners” out there.

This article isn’t a rant of some sort.
I’ve known this for years.
I’ve been where many of YOU are right now.

I write this article for those of you that wonder
how someone like myself deals with the rejection,
the loss of “friends”, the loss of…whoever
due to this industry.

You get used to it. It sucks at times.
I found myself a little down (for a minute) just
recently BUT I understand the price. I understand
the cause. I understand the Movement.

When you truly understand the price, you don’t just walk
away and give up.

I don’t know Martin Luther King personally, but I’m sure
he lost a little bit of friends.

I don’t know Ghandi personally, but I’m sure he lost
some friends.

I don’t know Donald Trump personally, but I’m sure he
lost some friends.

I don’t know Bill Gates, but I’m sure he lost some
friends.

I don’t know Steve Jobs personally, but I’m sure he
lost some friends.

I don’t know Mark Zuckerburg (Founder of Facebook), but I’m
sure he lost some friends.

You better believe they made MORE (and BETTER) friends, but
that’s another article for another time.

You’ll lose friends, face it. The only ones that really MATTER, will stick by your side.
They might not rock the business with you, but they’ll always have
your back and support you.

Those who truly love you, will be there for you no matter what.
Stop worrying about the “friends” that won’t be there anyway.

It’s kinda interesting how when you make it to the top,
those “friends” will come out of the woodworks pat you on your back and
say they “knew” you’d make it anyway.

You’ll get your heart broken a little. sure.

It’ll happen. All great success stories know that it’s bound
to happen. There is NO question as to IF it will happen.

The only question is…

Will you be willing to pay the price WHEN it does?…

How ANYONE can easily attract NEW reps into their business

How does a rookie attract leaders to their business? How does a person who isn’t a $100K+ earner attract more people into their business?!

It’s really simple. What you have to think about is the fact that
you have a lot of people who are just really looking to work with someone that has some forward motion in their business.

Day #14 of the craziest thing I’ve done so far..BBoy Challenge??..

When most people think of a successful, multiple 6 figure earner
in the Network Marketing profession they usually don’t think
about some guy that is spinning around on the ground doing
breakdance moves.

Well…

Crazy to say, that would be ME.

Watch my Day #14 update video (at the bottom) on my B-Boy Challenge. The craziest
thing I’ve done in a long time. At 33 years old, almost 200 pounds,
not very flexible, and sore joints, this is a pretty daunting task.

My 90 Day Challenge is to do continuous Windmills and a few other
breakdance moves within that time. I was able to do 2 windmills in a row back in High
School. I was never able to do CONTINUOUS windmills… 16 YEARS AGO!! lol.. In addition, I was 120 pounds in High School.

I’m now almost 200 pounds. That means I have to get to at least 165-170.

You see, the tricky part about this challenge is that most
people would just think that it’s some dude that is dancing
around like crazy up there.

Most people don’t understand that you have to be considerably flexible…
as of right now, I’m not. Even though I’m more flexible now than I was
90 days ago.

  • You need to be able to support your own body weight. Pull ups, freezes,

push ups, one handed pushups aren’t even a question if you want
to breakdance.

  • Your joints need to be able to handle the kind of impact
    that they get put through.
  • Your cardio needs to be in top shape. Try “top rocking”
    for about 3 minutes straight and let me know how that goes for you. lol…

    • Your muscles need to be lean and flexible, not “gym type” puffy.
      That won’t do anything for top rocks, power moves, etc…

      • Your abs need to be strong. Your core needs to be in top shape.
        Getting a six pack is one thing… Being able to hold your body
        in a freeze position on your hands is another. It’s not just the look
        of abs, it’s functional.
      • Amongst a bunch of other things comes the most IMPORTANT of all:
        • You need to have style. Know how to dance. Formulate your own combos and make it look GOOD. That’s the part NO regular gym can teach you.Well… wish me luck.Oh, and did I mention the part about doing all of this while still running
          a Network Marketing Business with thousands of promoters to work with, internet marketing clients, 3 children, their homework, wife,
          restaurant business, and travel / business schedule all
          at the same time??

Will tons of leads really fix your business??

It seems like everyone in Network Marketing are getting
more concerned about getting leads rather than getting
strong at relationship building and actually getting
people enrolled in their business.

It certainly takes some skill to generate a lead,
it takes even MORE skill to close that lead into your
business.

What I learned about being broke…when I was broke.

I remember once that someone told me “You find out the
true character of a man when by what he does when
he is down”

And then I heard some years later that “you find
out the true character of a man by what they do
NOT when they are down, but their actions when
they are at the top”.

We sometimes think that the test is what we do
when we are in the dumps financially, mentally,
emotionally, etc…

But you see, isn’t it easier to manage your money
when you have none to spend?

Isn’t it easier to manage a group of 2 people versus
2,000?

Isn’t is easier to motivate yourself versus trying
to motivate thousands at the same time?

Isn’t it easier to make certain promises to a couple
people versus a couple thousand??

I maintain that the true test of Character of a person
is not what they do while they are down, but what
they do when they are successful.

Yes, no one is perfect but WHEN (not IF) they mess
up, how they deal with that problem is the test.

You are creating your success story right now
my friend. People are watching you right now
and waiting for you to make a move.

What move will you make?

The bottom line is this.. If you aren’t successful
than you are on your journey to that level.

What you do on that journey will greatly determine
what you do when you get to your destination.

If you give up on your journey, If success
is ever handed to you…Chances are, you will
be a spineless wimp and give up while you are at
the top anyway.

So, What did I learn about being broke while
I was broke myself??

I learned that whatever I did on my journey
to creating wealth, would determine what I would
do when I finally actually reached it.

Let’s go down a list of things I was doing when

I was dead broke:

1) I sold whatever I could & sacrificed to get to
company training events.
2) I constantly studied the industry.
3) I sought out mentors and coaches.
4) I surrounded myself with quality people.
5) I learned from EVERY situation (some people call these “failures”)
6) I worried more about CREATING versus SAVING.
7) I always, always, always read good books.
8) I always “acted as if” I were successful.
I tricked my brain sometimes into thinking I were already there.
9) I worked hard.
10) I had some freakin guts. I quit jobs that everyone said I was
stupid for leaving. If I felt that the job wasn’t empowering to
my story, I was out. I always had the end in mind.
11) I always had integrity and never lied about my success.
12) I always helped people even if I didn’t make me money.

Funny thing is, even as a multiple six figure earner in this industry
I still do EVERYTHING listed above. I’m always raising the bar.
I always start my day as if it’s day #1.

Great Leaders Aren’t Born…Only Babies.

I recently heard a story told by John C. Maxwell. He
talked about a group of tourists that were roaming around
this really old town taking pictures, taking in the sites,
talking to people, etc…

One of the tourists sat down at a bench where an old
man was seated.

Right as soon as he sat down, he asked the old man
“How many great men were born in this town?”

It took a few seconds for the old man to respond
and he finally said “No great men were born here,
only babies”.

The moral of the story is that so many times we as
Network Marketers idolize leaders who have created
a phenomenal amount of success in the industry.

We sometimes forget that these great leaders are
GREAT because they got really good at doing the
small tasks very well.

If you can’t wake up at 6am to get front row seats
at your convention, what makes you think you’ll wake
up at 5am to get on the phone with your prospects
2 time zones ahead of you?

If you can’t spend $99 for tickets to a company convention,
what makes you think that you will get an entire team of
people to get to events.

If you can’t make 1 phone call to your “chicken list” prospect,
what makes you think that you can teach an entire team
of people how to conquer their fears of talking to their
contacts.

Remember my friends…

Great leaders aren’t instantly created in this business.
They sign applications, make their first call, write their
first blog post
, shoot their first video, & get nervous
in front of their first presentation…just like many
of you.

Only NEW PROMOTERS join this business.

That’s it.

Cold Market Prospecting: “The Airport”

 

I’m sitting in the airport surrounded tons of people who are
Waiting for their flights just like me.

I can’t help but think to myself “how many of these people
Are thinking about making some extra money right now.”

Just so you know, I laughed just now as I wrote that line above.
It’s laughable because I know that’s how sooo many
aspiring Network Marketers think.

They canvass the terrain looking for the next
Overweight person to pitch their weight loss deal to, or they
wait for the hunt for the individual who looks like the
best “broke prospect” so they
Can offer them the opportunity of a lifetime.

It’s absolute craziness!

Just for fun, I’m gonna act as if I were going to prospect someone
right now…kinda like a challenge.

First thing I do (before the actual steps listed below) I pan the area.

So I’m looking around right now and I see about 3 people out of a mass
crowd that I would go out of my way to prospect to get into my business.
Let me show you my thought process as I hand selected these 3 people:

1) Hot Habits:

There are certain habits, or pieces of character that
I LOVE that I spot right off the top.

Certain things a person wears, does, or reacts to
says tons about the person. Today, let’s keep it
simple.

I instantly canvassed the place for the best dressed person.
First thing that caught my eye was this lady who looks like she
is in her early 40’s. She’s wearing designer sunglasses, great
matching colors, looks like she takes care of herself, has a Louis
Vuitton purse, and hammering away on her laptop which just so happens
to be the newest Macbook Pro. $2,000+ dollar laptop.

Why do I care about the way this person looks?

It’s obvious that she cares about how people view her. I’ll best you
9 times out of 10, she works in some type of marketing or sales that
forces her to be in front of people.

If I am hand selecting a prime candidate to mentor, who am I gonna choose?

The person who looks like she doesn’t give a flying hoot about the way
she looks in public, or the person who goes out of their way to portray
a professional image?

Of course, this is just me. You might be different from me and you might
be thinking on a total different wavelength on this one.
I’ve been doing this for a while, so I have my quirks on this stuff.

Ok, back to the real life scenario…

2) Situation Placement

Alright, so this lady looks like a prime SUSPECT for my
business right now, I don’t know if she is truly an absolute
fit but that is for me to find out.
Now, the next thing to do is place myself in the situation
very naturally.

Here’s an example of what I would do. I take notice that
she is sitting by the Airport massage chairs.
2 of the 5 chairs are taken.

She’s looking down at her iPhone and firing away some text
messages to her clients or friends I suppose. Maybe she’s
just playing a very serious game of AngryBirds or something.. who knows!

I notice that she has 2 bags in front of her. That makes me
wonder if she is traveling with someone else or if she is by herself.

Now, if she is married and traveling with her husband, that will
switch up the dynamics up a bit here but I will turn that into a
very positive thing in just a minute if that is the case.

Now, I would move in with the Situation Placement…

I would walk over to the massage chair a few chairs over and as
I’m walking to the chair, I’d make eye contact for a brief second
at her and acknowledge she is there. I’d openly smile and ask her if
she tried one of these massage chairs herself and jokingly ask if

It’s worth the “big money”.

I say a quirky one liner to gauge her “entertainment level”.
If she laughs or smiles as she says something in return,
I’ve got a LIVE one.

If she is nice right off the bat, I’ve got a runner.
If she is a snot, I’ve got a few more arrows in my quiver
until I call it quits on this suspect and move on to someone who is a
stronger candidate.

Someone with a bad attitude is definitely a huge minus in my book.
I would never want to deal with someone like that in the first place.

Let’s say in this situation she ends up having a great attitude,
she actually smiles, and responds back
in a favorable way.

BINGO. “Houston, we have liftoff”!

Now, I’m still waiting for that wildcard… does she have a
significant other?? If she does, I am not going to engage in
detailed conversation until I see the full hand of cards
I’m playing with.

The reason why I’m so picky on this is because what do you
think will happen if her unsuspecting husband shows up only
to have another dude there talking to his wife? I’ve learned
my lesson a long time ago with this one.

If she is just traveling with her co worker who
happens to be another female. Once, I verify that detail,
I’ll move in to Phase 2.

Just so you know, most times it’s a lot harder to cold
prospect a couple rather than a single party. Why? Because
it takes more energy from you since it’s more spread out.

3) Conversational Pieces

First question I’m gonna ask is, “Is that the NEW Macbook PRO?”
I’d let the conversation stem from there. Little does she know,
but this is a pre framed interview that I’m doing with her.
I’m going to find out if she’s the type of person I would
truly want to work with.

I won’t think about throwing the amateur pitch at her. My only
job is to find out if she’s a good match for one of my next
success stories under my mentorship.

I’m gonna test her ability to carry a real, meaningful
conversation. I’m gonna test her ability to engage in explorative
questions, posture, smile, personality, etc…

Because I’m more concerned about what she is going to say, I’m not
really focused on what I’m saying. That’s the reason why most
networkers drop the ball in cold market prospecting, they are too
worried about what THEY are going to say.

Once you have a conversation going, you really don’t need any other
tips. You just let the conversation go.. oh, and you throw
just ONE more thing in there.

This is how I’m able to get there information and/ or give them
my card. I rarely, if ever, give out business cards to prospects.

Success is in the ROUTINE

Success in Network Marketing is nothing more than
having a systematic routine to create an
environment conducive for business success.

One of the most powerful things you can do is
figure out how you operate the best, what routine or
ritual you do to get yourself in that peak state
and do it over and over and over again.

The reason most people don’t find a lot of
success in Home based business is simply because
when you are “at home”, you don’t feel like
you are running a business so you end up
doing things that you would normally do at home.

It takes a lot of self-discipline to become a truly
successful Network Marketer that can operate on
“Level 10” at home.

Most people would find themselves at home playing
the xBox or playing computer games at home thinking
that they are actually “working” their business.

It’s all in your daily routine.

From the moment you wake up to the moment you
go to sleep (at least for the first 3-6 months working
your business from home) you should have a schedule
or a routine that keeps you on track.

If you don’t MAKE an effective routine, the less effective
routine will MAKE YOU.

That is certainly NOT where you want to end up.

Start today and create a routine that outlines
the first 3 hours of your day…everday.

How to make money with your iPad

How to use your iPad to explode your business.

It’s easy to give into all the hype about getting one of the newest little gadgets to look cool at the next training for your company.

Do you have one? Do you make money with it?

 

Most people feel that getting a tablet (iPad or similar) is the
hottest thing that Network Marketers are getting right now.

That’s not the purpose of this article.
I’m not gonna sell you on the idea of getting a tablet here,
I’m just gonna talk some common sense here for a minute.

Here’s where it makes sense to get an iPad:
1) You already have a desktop
2) you already have a notebook / laptop
3) You are planning on doing lots of presentations / powerpoints
4) You are planning on doing lots of traveling.
5) You are needing to have access to a multi media powerhouse
that has great battery life while on the road.  (8-9 hours unplugged depending)
6) Your company has an “app” to access your backoffice
7) You like to watch movies on downtime in your hotel room. 😉

Let’s talk about how I use my iPad on any given day.

When I show up to a 1 on 1 presentation, I’ll use my iPad to show the
video to my prospect while I mix up some shakes. I’ve found that the
“over the ear” headphones work real well, because it now captures
their attention.

The iPad (as well as most other tablets) audio is fairly weak, and
tends to be pretty less effective in keeping attention. If you want to lose
a prospects attention really, really quick, use some weak audio.

After the video presentation is done, I will scroll through some REAL
life B&A’s (Before & After) photos and a few 1 minute videos
of testimonies both product and business.

This really drives the “social proof” part of my presentation through the roof.

I usually use “Keynote” (apples version on powerpoint) on the iPad to
put together a kick A** slide show of testimonials.

After I show them the slideshow pics & vids (that usually last 8-10 minutes),
I’ll usually have them frothing at the mouth to sign up.

I even edify my upline on those slides, so when I’m ready to get them on
a 3 way call, my upline leaders are essentially “walking on water”.

I then proceed straight to my iPad App that my company provides
to sign people up. Visalus even provides a credit card swiper that allows
process to be painless, quick, and nearly effortless so
It looks even easier to my prospects.

I feel that inputting personal data on an iPad or laptop looks a little more
official than putting it in over a mobile phone…but that’ s just my opinion.
If you don’t have a mobile enrollment app for your company
then you won’t even be worrying about this issue.

Following the presentation, I will use my iPad to schedule their first
Challenge party and send them an email straight from my calendar to
remind them about their appointment with me.  I’ll input their info on
my contacts and show them their appointments on my calendar.

It’s also really powerful for visual sake because they see my calendar
and how jam packed it is, so they know not to fool around with my time.

Obviously, to have that effect you need to actually have more than
1 appointment for the week scheduled. LOL

I will have them fill out my PDF “getting started training” with their
first dozen names so that I have a copy of it.
I’ll even email them a copy of that and also FWD a copy to my
upline leader.

I’ll go straight to facebook and add them as a friend, I’ll get
them plugged into the team facebook group right then and there.

By that time, they are absolutely plugged into the
system.

There you have it! That’s how a multiple 6 figure earner uses an iPad in MLM.

Here’s the bottom line:
Yes, an iPad can absolutely add to the effectiveness of
the way you run your business. You can add things like iPads (tablets)
to your list of business expenses that you will most likely
be using as tax deductions at the end of the year.

The bottom line (my opinion) on the iPad for those of you on the fence:
If you don’t have a laptop, and you are thinking of the
“either/or” situation, you shouldn’t even be thinking of getting
an iPad. The average iPad will run you about $600-$700 and up (for
a decent one that is even worth using) when in the meanwhile, a decent
laptop would run you about the same, if not a little more, but more
functional as an ALL IN ONE stop.

That’s just my opinion however.

I feel that in a couple years, laptops / notebooks will be pretty well
on their way of going out the door as being obsolete because these
types of tablets will have stepped up their game in functionality.

I actually stole that prediction from Steve Jobs himself…but it
feels good to say it anyways.

I haven’t really even covered a lot of the functions surrounding
the iPad and all the other ways it can help you attract more
money into your business. I’ll probably cover that on a future
post. Until then, KILL IT in your MLM business my friends!

Title Leader vs. Real Leader

Just because you recruited some people and they
did the same doesn’t necessarily mean that they SHOULD
follow what you are doing.

That doesn’t make you FOLLOW-ABLE just yet.

 

That certainly makes you “someone-who-recruited-a-few-people”.

 

Don’t get too down on yourself if people aren’t
following you like you would like them to.

 The best medicine for that is, LEAD THE CHARGE.

If you are constantly recruiting NEW blood to your team,
help them achieve the smallest forms of success over
and over again and you will have people who will follow
you to the ends of the earth.

Everybody loves to be a leader but very few are truly
willing to do what it takes to become that leader.

 

1)   Consistently Recruit NEW people.

2)   Show them SUCCESS in it’s smallest forms early in the game.

3)   Always let your team know that you are ALL IN.  Mean it.

4)   Formulate a great game plan, do it yourself, show your team how.

If you run this 4 step formula, it will dramatically
change the way you do business and improve your
results of your team duplicating what you do.

Get out there and KILL IT in your Network Marketing business.

The ONLY Thing You Get Paid For In Business

What TRULY pays you in business?

If you really think about what really makes you money in this
business, you’d probably be surprised at what you are wasting
your time on—or even NOT spending enough time on.

What do you get paid for in MLM?

• Dropping off brochures to your prospects workplace?
• Making cool little prospecting packages?
• Making blog posts?
• Facebook wall posts?
• Creating cool YouTube videos with great intros?
• Setting up cool product displays in your house?
• Going to trade shows?
• On and on and on, you get the point…

The shocking thing is that you don’t get paid to do any
of these things above. Here’s a shocker…You don’t even
get paid to prospect!!

Prospecting leads to more information…that’s it.

The only thing you get paid to do in this business is…

HELP PEOPLE MAKE AN EMOTIONAL DECISION TO BUY.

Oh, I can just hear it: “But Elias, we don’t sell anything!”
…get over it.
Yes you do.
You 1st MARKET, then you end with the SALE.

If there is anything you really need to get good at in
this industry, it’s helping people make a decision.

How to neutralize the hardest objections

I was on the phone the other day with the toughest prospect.

I mean this dude wasn’t believing any of the “hype”. Wasn’t
giving into any of it. lol..
I thought to myself, I’ve got a hot prospect here. I then
proceeded to run him through– what I call– the Neutralizing Funnel.

Step #1: Restate the concern / objection
Me: so let me just get this correct, you are worried about Everyone
eventually doing it in your hometown and getting saturated right??

Prospect: Yeah, absolutely.

Step #1: Acid Test
Me: So if I showed you how that concern is really nothing to be worried
about, you’d be satisfied that you found your answer and would be
ready to move forward, correct?

Prospect: Well…maybe.

Step #2: Isolation Statement
Me:  Well, I want to know that we are spending the best amount of time
on the most important area of concern to you.. and this question
is certainly the most important to you, isn’t it?

Prospect: Yes. This just really bothers me about every MLM company
that comes through town. Everyone joins and then there is nothing
left for anyone else, then it usually implodes.

Step #3: Reality Check / Punch In The Gut
Me: Has this personally, “cold hard fact” happened to you?

Prospect: Well.. no. But that’s what I always hear.

Step #4: DeGeneralize (take away the reality of their concern)
Me:  From who? Has that person made extraordinary amounts of
money in this industry??

Prospect: No.

Step #5: Identify Solution (make sure they know, THEY just found the answer)

Me: Now aren’t you glad that you’ve found that your area of
concern has been answered by YOU.

And that’s it. That’s a basic “Neutralizing Funnel”. I’ve debunked
the hardest questions through that funnel. Truth of the matter is
this: most of the concerns that are plaguing the minds of your
prospect (and ultimately your wallet) isn’t really worth spending
a lot of time on.

Why?? Because it most likely holds NO water and doesn’t apply
to your conversation.

The “Neutralizing Funnel” will take some time and practice but
when you finally know how to effortlessly get past the nonsense
that your prospects throw at you, it will be your best friend.

The HARD truth about recruiting big numbers

The hardest thing about recruiting big numbers in MLM is the fact that
you need to be really thick skinned at the core.

Recruiting 5-10 people a week isn’t normal. Infact, the average
Network Marketer only recruits 2.5 people in their career in MLM.

If you want to recruit big numbers, you need to take yourself out
of that equation.

Here’s what I mean by that:

If the average Network Marketer is only recruiting 2-3 people into
their program, In order to multiply those efforts you need to
use more leverage.

Step into my brain for a second..

Why am I gonna spend 45 minutes on the phone with a prospect when
I could spend those same 45 minutes on the phone with 500 prospects?!

You gotta be crazy!!

You need to MEGA MULTIPLY your efforts.

There’s no way I would be able to build a $100K/yr. business
in this industry if I were meeting EVERY SINGLE person at
starbucks to show them some silly presentation!

I’m simultaneously using sizzle calls, drop cards, mail outs,
websites, email templates, auto responders, webinars, video marketing,
voice shot blasts, major events, text blasts, facebook webinars, etc…

the list goes on and on and on my friends.

If you truly want to recruit like someone who absolutely KILLS IT
in Network Marketing, you need to start using TOOLS..right away.

Get out there and KILL IT in your Network Marketing business.

Why Pinterest Should Be Your Best Friend

Ok, so this was a long overdue blog post. I’ve been spying on Pinterest
for the last few months now. Pinterest didn’t really catch my interest
because I didn’t really see a lot of value in it at first.

When I started seeing Pinterest links, social “follow me on Pinterest”,
and “pin this” buttons on numerous blogs, I realized that it was about
time that I paid some attention to it.

You know how the old saying goes, “there is power in numbers”.

Unless there were a ridiculously enormous amount of people on Pinterest
as there is right now, there wouldn’t be a lot of value in it.
However, once again, Where there are groups of people, there is power.

And as a Network Marketer, you know we absolutely LOVE the groups
of folks. New prospects.

Lets start off with a few basics…

What exactly is Pinterest?
Answer: you want to think of Pinterest like your very own personal
“cork board wall”. Whatever you come across on the internet, much
like a magazine or a newspaper, you would cut out an article or image
and pin it up on that corkboard.

How does Pinterest go Viral?
Answer: Well, just like that cork board wall, when you collect picture,
articles, etc.. you have friends that will see your content appear
on their facebook feed, twitter feed, email, etc… and they
will “like” or “re pin” your content.

When someone else repins your content, they now become a “follower” of
your Pinterest Wall and their contact, friends, etc.. will now somehow
connect with you with everyone else.

Let’s start off with the basics:

1) Your Profile

Your personal profile section will be your introduction to everyone that visits your profile page.
This lets everyone know that you are indeed a real person and that you actually
have a personality. Mention your name, what you do, what you find cool, what you love to
search on the internet, something light, upbeat, etc..
[Main point is to not get too radically serious]

2) Creating Your Pinterest “Boards”

Just as soon as you open your account, you want to start creating “boards” like crazy!
Divide your boards up into different categories (here’s mine below).
Everything from personal development to shoes, to jewelry, etc..
the sky is the limit here. Once again, keep it light.

This is where you want to get a bunch of categories up and running to get more
people to identify with you. If I only have a “Self Help” board and “My MLM Is
Better Than Yours And This Is Why” Board that really narrows the likelihood
of a ton of people identifying with you.

For example, my MLM company (visalus) gives out BMW’s and that’s our marketing
tool to reach out to more prospects. So of course, guess what type of corkboard
I’m gonna have in order to find people who love BMW’s now???

Right!! I’m gonna create a BMW board! You see how this is going?!
If you are marketing a weight loss product and you are seriously
wanting to tap into the groups of people that desire to get into
shape, guess what kind of board you need to make?!

Right! A board that has to do with weight loss and fitness.

3) How you “follow” people.

Whenever you go to someones wall either from the Pinterest
“search function” or just randomly browsing (how everyone
does like Faccebook or Twitter) and you “repin” their
content, you automatically become a “follower” of
theirs on Pinterest and you automatically start
syndicating their content.

Now, that isn’t 100% confirmed at this point but since
there is NO absolute answer on that online but it seems
like it certainly is pointing that direction.

I’m continuing my observation on this matter so stay
tuned.

3) Getting a Pinterest Following.

The easiest way to get a pinterest following is to get a
Pinterest logo on your blog along with the “pin this” logo
on your blog.


If you have an email list, you could blast it out to your
list.

Blast it out to all your facebook friends!

Just simply tell people to follow you on Pinterest and
watch what you pin over the next day or two!

3) Keep your audience (followers) on their feet.
Try not to stay “in the box” about business ALL THE TIME. I pin shoes, watches,
cool new tech gadgets, fashion, dream destinations, etc.. just to
keep my followers engaged.

Some people think they are doing their audience a favor by strictly
talking about only business. This goes for Facebook too!
Little do they know, it gets redundant and predictable and sooner
than later, your followers will see NO value in going to your
wall to see whats new.

CONCLUSION::

Pinterest is a powerful, new, fresh way to get more prospects, get your
content syndicated by tons of people.

All you need to do is get an account and figure out how to do it right.

What are you doing with your time?

How is it that someone who makes a million dollars a year
and someone who makes $25,000 a year have the same 24 hrs?

They have the same amount of time in the day but
somewhere along the line, the person who is making $1M
realized how to multiply every step.

So for every step he takes, he moves 10 feet ahead of
the $25K person.

Think about this:
If we were both headed to a destination 5 miles away
but you ran and I drove in a car, Wouldn’t we both
have traveled the same distance??

You see, the reason why I make more money than most
in this industry is because I found out how to multiply
every step and value every minute.

Think about how you can double your production in your
MLM business in the same amount of time you have put
into it last week.

I am a thief!! ..sort of.

I direct high amounts of traffic to my websites. The crazy thing about it is that most of the traffic comes from my competition. I almost feel bad…a little.

How can you do the same?

Well, it all starts with having a blog that is already linked to a steady source of traffic.   • You don’t need to know diddly squat about setting up hosting
  • You don’t need to know how to drive up your results in the search engine

  • You don’t need to WAIT to be considered an “established” blog to get favored by the search engines.
  • You don’t need to spend a fortune on upkeep or web maintenance.
  • Your prospects enter your funnel automatically.

And then you need to funnel them through a “funded proposal” funnel.

Then, have a proven upline leadership in your MLM company that can help you “close” those
prospects that you have on the other end of the funnel.

Are you serious?? …Is it that easy??

The Information Vortex

Some people think that online marketing, email marketing, video marketing, etc…
is a bunch of magical “hocus pocus”.

Infact, most people think that they would rather not do anything online
and just go completely offline and build a Network Marketing
company the old traditional way.

Here is my thoughts on that:

That could work too. Infact, there are people who are making tons of money
in MLM without the internet. Yes, these people built businesses offline
before the age of the internet & social media came about.

However, it’s possible.

I believe it’s harder in today’s society to build offline…
However, it’s possible.

The only major factor is making sure you don’t get sucked
into the “Information Vortex”.

This “Information Vortex” is something I refer to that describes
what most Network Marketers get sucked into and spit out of.

Let me explain…

Whether you market online, offline, or a combination of both,
you need to be able to have a system that spits out information
to your prospects as quickly as possible.

If someone beats you to the punch with information to your
prospect faster than you, you will most likely lose the game.

You need to figure out a way to get your information to them
faster then your competition. period. End of story.

Getting Traffic vs. Converting Traffic

It seems like everyone and their dog is hyped up about getting traffic to their
sites nowdays. Seems like anywhere possible, people are posting their “join now link”
for their MLM company up on Facebook on a wish and prayer that someone will
join them.

It’s amazing how upset and depressed people get when they realize that they
don’t get a lot of response.

Some do. It’s amazing how some people actually break the code and make a pretty good
run from doing what I call the “Throw It Against The Wall” approach with Social
Media.

I have a woman in my organization who rakes in thousands of dollars a month from
customers and promoters who have joined up with her through her Facebook page.

It amazes me.

However, most people don’t realize that this lady is using a few other tools that
brings up her marketing response. She has amazing poise and posture when talking
to her prospects — and yes, I did say TALK to her prospects– not HIDE behind
the computer screen and hope they buy.

She also uses a few internet / mobile marketing tools that help propel her even
further into the mind of the consumer.

For most people, they are so interested in getting traffic that they will just
about sell their soul to the devil in order to get it. It’s kinda funny but
also kind of sad.

For example, there are many sites out there who get considerably more traffic than
my site. For example, a friend of mine and I were laughing about how he gets 10x
the amount of traffic than I do, but I have 100x the amount of converted traffic
than he does.

Consequently, I also make a tremendously larger income than he does. He probably
squeaks by with just enough to pay for his Pay Per Click costs, While I spend nearly
nothing on PPC.

Here’s the thing…

If you are attempting to have a prayer in online marketing / attraction marketing, you
need to stop worrying about pure traffic numbers and START immediately worrying about
what type of traffic / numbers you want to attract.

I’d much rather have 100 readers a day that come back everyday and re post my articles
online, opt in, and put money in my pocket versus 10,000 readers a day who spend
5 seconds on my site, never opt in, never repost my articles, and never put money in
my pocket.

Here’s your Challenge For Today:

Think about your brand. Think about the REAL YOU that you want people to subscribe to
online. Anyone can act like a Guru, but that never lasts. People want something
genuine. People want someone that can tell it like it is and show results.

Think about the message that you want to send to the world.
Decide today what your message will be.

Some of you will have a hard time. This is why you will need
my 7 Series Bootcamp.

Obviously, I use MLSP as a piece of my arsenal. I also recently threw in
Empower Network into the mix recently. No one showed me how to use either of those
tools. I just figured it out.

How To Speak The Language Of Success

Do you know that you are what you eat?
Most people know that…

You are also what you speak too.

Study after study has shown that if you have a larger
vocabulary, you are most likely making more money
than the person who doesn’t.

This one study showed that people with extensive vocabularies
most likely earn up to 3x what the average person earns
with an average vocabulary.

Think about a regular job… Maybe, think about your current job.
What type of vocabulary do you need there?

Think about a 6, or even 7 figure income earner in Network Marketing.
What type of language is being used there??

I’ll bet you that high 6 and 7 figure earners know another language
as well. Talk about Vocabularies in 2 different languages!!

Just think about this…

If you really studied your industry and your company,
wouldn’t you be using words and terms that most others
who AREN’T studying it would be??

If you are engaged in your company, opportunity, and
movement that your company is behind, you are probably
taking more action than most others as well.

If you are taking more action, you are probably getting
more results.

Here’s what you need to understand..

Success in MLM has a lot to do with personal growth.
Never stop growing. Never stop learning.

Here’s the assignment for you today:

Learn 5 new Vocabulary words that have to do with
either your comp plan, product, company, or Industry
and use all 5 of those words in your normal
everyday conversation when talking about your business.

Watch and observe the type of response you will now get
when talking to your prospects.

Eyebrows will be raised fairly quickly once you noticeably
step up your game.

When you start educating yourself and implementing that
education, you also start attracting those types of people
as well. Serious Promoters who are serious about building
their business.

Isn’t that what we all want in the first place??

Have some fun with it and start speaking the language
of Success.

The “I don’t use Facebook” Mentality

It’s outright, ridiculous.

Sometimes, I think people try not to use facebook to prove
some kind of foolish point. LOL..

I say foolish, because those who are using Social Media are
stealing more leads from those people then they will ever know.

If you are a business owner, marketer, trying to make money
from home, etc… you have NO BUSINESS NOT BEING ON
FACEBOOK, TWITTER, ETC…

Just take 4 minutes and 25 seconds and watch this video
that might change your outlook on what you think about
Social Media.

If you are a Network Marketer and lightly smirking by not being an active
Facebook communicator, well, all I can say is..

You are losing money every single day, to people that are.
I don’t know if that is something to smirk about.

Facebook is the 3rd largest country in the world right now. It beats Google with
traffic. Watch the video above and tell me how many of your friends might have
already opted in to someone elses list to take a look at your opportunity that
you are trying to pitch to them with your little sample pack and opportunity
DVD.

Success In Network Marketing is based largely on “Expediting Of Information”.

He or She who expedites information the fastest wins.

If you take 3-4 days to meet up with your prospect and I only take 1-2 minutes
to email them a link or hit them up on their wall. Most likely, I’ll win.

Do you know how many people have lost prospects that are on their “chicken list”
who they haven’t even approached yet?! A TON!

The business savvy people are usually business savvy because they are
resourceful and don’t have a terrible amount of time to waste in coffee shops looking
at magazines and flipcharts. They like to do their homework on their downtime and
get straight to the point.

Question: Do you NEED Facebook to really pitch your opportunity??
Answer: NObut you also don’t need to drive a car to work as well!
You could easily ride a horse or walk.

Point:
Some things just flat out make sense.

If you are a Network Marketer.. doesn’t it make sense to actively NETWORK
within a MARKET that has the LARGEST network around??!!

So, next time someone asks you “are you on Facebook?” and you give the cute
giggle and smirk as you politely say “No, I don’t do that facebook thing”

Maybe you’ll hear some money getting sucked out of your business and mentally
see them walking into someone elses business…instead of yours.

Stop fighting it.. You are a Networker. Network!!

Using Others Traffic To Boost Your Profits (Strategy #1)

If there is something that I’ve gotten pretty good at over the
Last few years in my journey to become a decent marketer on the
Internet, It would be “Learning to cipher traffic”.

I won’t spend a radical amount of time on this article because I do tons of
Webinars on how to “cipher” traffic anyway. Really, this article is for
Those that JUST read my blog (and you folks are awesome!) and don’t
Know what they are missing out on. [smile]

Do you often feel like a creepy, weirdo trying to chase people down
to visit your website or blog?? Let’s face it…
There are millions of websites out there? Why visit yours??!!

However, let’s discuss a couple of different ways to boost your traffic on
Your website, blog, youtube channel, etc..

That being said, most people would look at my youtube channel and see
That I don’t have much subscribers to my channel.
Infact, if you really look… I don’t even have much fans on my “fan page” on
Facebook. Currently, I only have less than 400 fans on my facebook page.

How do I go about making a hefty income on the internet
Without having tons of useless fans or random people on my youtube
Channel??

But I still make mad cash online! lol

Infact, some people in my prior MLM company got really nervous
when I was out there telling people that my online income was
surpassing my MLM income. Supposedly, I made waves.

So to appease them, I slowed down my online marketing.

Long story short, I’ll never make that mistake again.

I thought that was interesting…being that I was driving traffic to my
Company. Oh well. Onward.

So how do I make serious money online and MLM without having a TON of useless followers that hit like on my fanpage or hit play on my youtube
channel??

Because, I’m a list building specialist. I’ll take an organically built “opt in list”
any day of the week versus 20,000 views on my stupid
video on youtube. Not saying YouTube isn’t a legit source of traffic, it’s
just that most people have NO idea how to turn their videos into
cold hard cash in the first place.

One of my 8 figure mentors makes NO videos on youtube and could
Care less about it. Yet, this person has made more money than most
Could ever imagine in this industry.

I focus on building a list and turning that list into cash. How do I do it?

The answer: I cipher traffic.

I pull FREE (sometimes PPC traffic) from high traffic sources and
Direct them to my website (blog, capture page, etc..)

Why?? Because when I have an opted in list, I have a direct tie to their brain, their
Undivided attention, and emotional connection.

Once again, this is just my way of marketing. Some don’t agree with
My way. They say that they would much rather have massive numbers of
Followers to read their nonsense on their Facebook Page or video on one
Of the popular video networks.

I’d rather have emotionally attached READERS and converted leads rather
Than traffic any day of the week…hands down.

Most of these “so called internet gurus” have never built a sizable downline
In MLM and would shake in their boots at just the thought of getting in front of a handful
of real people who have real concerns and real ambition to make
Cold hard cash. Obviously, I’m not concerned with massive traffic.

I’m very interested in targeted traffic, loyal followers, and converted leads to cash. That’s it. Period. End of story.

Over the years, I’ve targeted some pretty good sources of traffic like other blogs, other peoples channels,
other peoples fan pages, other peoples facebook profiles, etc.. that HAVE the traffic that I need in order to
“cherry pick” my target market.

Here’s the ONE major secret that I will unveil to you today. We’ll discuss more of

The way you can start driving good amounts of traffic to your site is:
You find other blogs that have a good traffic flow, facebook pages, etc..
(and that’s a BIG “etc”..lol)

And you COMMENT ON THEM.

Did you hear what I just said, just then?? COMMENT on them.

I have a feature on my blog where people can share my blog with others on facebook or in their other content
share networks like digg, tumblr, stumbleupon, etc..

Most people will comment WHILE they share my content on facebook. There are some websites that I
regularly go to where I comment and give actual, valuable
Feedback and attempt to answer questions to other readers.

In this way, I’m proving in a real world situation that I know what I’m talking about and provide a
sense of value to the online community.

Most blogs, like mine, have an area where you can add your website or blog
Along with your comment. If you have a wordpress blog, you can install a plugin

Broke Financially vs. Broke Mentally

In 2004, my wife and I were so broke it wasn’t funny.

We had NO savings, I didn’t have a steady paying job. 100% commissioned. She wasn’t working.
Sometimes I would come home with $200 dollar paychecks..for 2 weeks.

We made about $18,000 in 2004.

I still get emotional about this time in my life even as I write this post.
My heart gets heavy every single time.

Anyhow, back to the story..

A friend of mine told me about a government program that helped you
Out with groceries, diapers, etc.. (not welfare or foodstamps)
We’d be able to save money on other things because the government
Would be able to pay our bills for us.

I was clueless as to what this entailed. All I heard was some program where
You got free groceries and diapers from the store.

After applying to for this program, I thought to myself. “There has to be a catch.
There is NO WAY that we are getting this stuff for FREE.”

However, I was fine with the idea for the time being.

Our first trip to the store was interesting. I started throwing in all kinds of stuff
Into the basket thinking that I was on some kind of shopping spree.
My wife stopped me and said that we could only get certain brands, certain
Types of groceries, etc..

I was shocked. I was upset.

When we finally got to the check-out line, I asked my wife “so, where’s the money that they
Gave you?”

It was at that time, she reached in her purse and pulled out this gigantic pink
Brochure type booklet. I was wondering.. “What the heck is she doing?” as I nervously
Looked around to see peoples expressions.

I tried hiding what my wife was holding because it was a symbol to everyone in
Line that I was getting government assistance.

Now, let me say..

I have nothing against government assistance. Nor, do I have anything
against people who are on those types of programs.

I was just in shock because I was taught by my parents to
never, ever take handouts…especially Government ones.

It all hit me in an instant what type of situation I had allowed my wife and I to be
In. When we got into the car in the parking lot, I looked at my wife with tears
In my eyes when I told her, “we can’t do this..I can’t do this”.

She just nodded her head in agreement, filled with emotion as her eyes welled up with tears too.
She was a few months pregnant with our second child.

At that moment, I took that pink brochure / card and tore it up. We made a decision
That night that we would not take part in anything of that nature.

Some people would say that I was over reacting and being irresponsible as a
Husband and father.
Others (who I really look up to as entrepreneurs) were proud of me
And congratulated me in taking the first step to being financially independent.

I share this story because it weighed heavy on my heart as I stood in that same
Grocery store tonight behind a young couple who looked like they were going
Through the same situation as I was just a few short years ago.

I felt like reaching out to the young father and putting my hand on his shoulder
Telling him that if he rips up that card in the parking lot things will be
Different. Truth is, I don’t know if that will really be the story.

I don’t know if that young man will have the guts to take a stand
and have the courage to be financially independent.

If someone would have showed me where I would end up a few years
down the road if I decided to NEVER be “mentally broke”,
my mindset would have very different through the whole
journey. All my mentors TOLD me that I would arrive at my destination
if I took all the right steps (like that one) through the course.

If someone could’ve showed me what my journey would look like
before I hit the six figure income level, I probably would have
freaked out. It was a tough ride.

It will probably be a tough ride for you too.
I hope your ride isn’t as crazy as mine was but I sure hope it is
as exciting as mine was.

What’s funny was once you get to the $100K mark in MLM, you
aren’t willing to settle there. You always look at ways to get
you to the $1,000,000 level next.

In conclusion, I will say that each and every one of you
reading this post have the absolute power to change your life
and everything in it IF..and only IF you are willing to have a lot
of courage and guts to take a stand.

Just because you aren’t making as much money in MLM
as you’d like, don’t stop.
Just because you aren’t where you’d like to be in life,
don’t just give up. That’s too easy. No guts required there.

That’s the stupidest (excuse the wording) thing I’ve ever seen.
When people give up because they got a few or a hundred “NO’s”.
To think that they are letting others dictate their future just
boggles my brain.

Misery loves company. When I see people give up, it breaks my heart
but I can’t take that experience away from them. Some people need
to feel the bottom before they get hungry for the top.

Some people need to feel the bottom a couple or few times before
they start realizing that rock bottom isn’t any fun.

I can’t take that blessing and opportunity away from people.
I think of it as a gift. Of course I’d like to see everyone prosper
but I don’t know if that person is really willing to pay the price
like I was.

Never let yourself go broke mentally. It’s just not worth it.

So my challenge to you today is:

Do something that you have always known you’ve wanted
to do. Make sure this places you closer on your journey to
being successful in this business.

It might be something small like getting a savings account.
Maybe making that call to that person you haven’t called yet.
Maybe it’s getting that t-shirt or pair of jeans that makes
you look and feel like a million bucks when you wear it.

Success actually comes in an instant. All you need to do is decide
right now! Decide that you are a success starting right
now! Don’t talk it…do it! KILL IT!!!!

The 1 Thing You Can’t Teach

There are a lot of things in the Network Marketing industry that you can teach.
You can teach someone how to be persuasive.
You can teach someone how to be a superstar recruiter.
You can even teach a few slick lines to say when you get an objection.

However, there is one thing that can never be taught no matter how hard you try.

This one thing is the major advantage that people who earn millions in
The industry have above those who make thousands or hundreds.

Do you have any idea what it is??

It is COURAGE.

Courage is a tough thing to learn and implement. Learning courage usually means
That you are in an uncomfortable situation. Someone once told me that
The money is made in the “fear zone” in this business.

You will never achieve your goals if you aren’t in the fear zone.
Usually, if you are feeling nervous about something it’s because you
Are faced with a moment where you need to dig a litter deeper in your
Gut and pull out some of that courage.

Some of you reading this might be faced with a single situation or a
Series of “situations” very shortly that will test your courage level.

It’s what us entrepreneurs call a “gut check”.

Here’s the challenge..

Face something today that forces you to give yourself a “gut check”.

Rally up some courage my friend. The only way to get more courage…
Is to put yourself in situations where you can practice.

Although everybody wants to be a conqueror, many run the other way
When they realize a battle needs to be fought first.

Will that be you? Get out there and face it!

What Happens In Vegas, Stays In Vegas…Sort Of.

I’m writing this blog post from my suite here at the Luxor. I decided to stay
here because this hotel really plays a pivotal part in my
Network Marketing career.

In 2002, my wife and I were dead broke and we had just gotten married.
We didn’t have a lot of money at the time. Infact, I had just gotten
fired from my timeshare job as an Assistant Marketing Manager.

I worked for a tyrant. My boss was hilarous though. It was almost
as if he was always hyped up on something. He Always pumped about
something. He was always looking for the next person to
fire. Usually, it was me that was firing someone.

He made me do the dirty work. It sucked.

One day, I found out that I was on the other end of the firing squad.

My wife and I got married a few weeks later. She was making $12/ hr. at
a small local hotel as a baker. I was unemployed.

We came out to our Honeymoon here in Las Vegas. We stayed at the Polo
Towers, an older timeshare resort on the strip. We got that hookup
from my mom since she worked at their sister resort.

I remember looking down the Las Vegas strip at a beacon of light that
illuminated the night sky. We headed down to that bright spotlight
and learned that it was the Luxor.

Because I was a big fan of pyramid structures, I thought that it was
so amazing. At the time, $200+ a night hotel rooms were way out of
my league.

But I told myself that If I ever made it in Network Marketing, I’d
make it a point to stay in the Luxor.

After 13 companies and never making money in MLM, I was about ready
to give up on the industry. I thought I was done. Finally, I found a
great mentor and friend who taught me how to harness my focus
and power in MLM and I started to make money.

In 2010, I returned to Las Vegas and stayed at the luxor.

However, now, I had thousands of people in my organization and
was a six figure income earner in MLM.

I attended a Network Marketing seminar called “No Excuses” at
the Bellagio Hotel.

Prior to “No Excuses”, I hadn’t really done that much marketing
over the internet. I discovered a whole new world at that summit.
That’s actually where I truly started gaining an interest about
online marketing, social media, etc..

I remember sitting in my room here at the Luxor
contemplating about how I was gonna start using that knowledge
to explode my business even more.

The next year, I attended No Excuses 2. Only thing was, I was
now making even MORE money and had an even bigger group.
Infact, I surprised myself at the level of income I was able
to generate online…even without my MLM.

Things were moving sooo fast in my career and I started feeling
a little uncertainty about where I was in my company at the
time.

I was staying at the Palms during that trip.

I jumped in a cab one night and headed over to the Luxor
again for some reason. I didn’t know why at the time.
I remember thinking to myself, “So what’s next? Where’s
the next move?” I was shocked I was even thinking that
because to most people I was doing fine in my career,
But throughout my life, I’ve had a gift of gut intuition.

Whenever I start having that gut feeling like big change
is about ready to strike, I start feeling that familiar feeling.

I didn’t even need to walk inside the Luxor. I just stood
outside looking at the Luxor Pyramid on that warm summer
night and then I knew it. Something was gonna happen.

Well, something did.

I ended up ending my journey with that company and
headed over to my new company. It was a gut wrenching
experience and it was tough emotional transition.

I hit the rank of Ambassador, which is the top rank in
this company, in just 2 months.

I walked away from a pretty hefty monthly income
and walked into Visalus without taking any MONEY,
any VOLUME..nothing!! zilch!

I signed an application and made my first contact
just like everyone else.

I then felt like the whole world was watching me at
that point.

A lot of leaders talk a lot of talk from stages about how
to build your MLM. A lot of stuff is said from company
leaders.

Granted, it’s all good stuff.

But, the question is.. Do they really believe it themselves?

Could they really build from the trenches again??
Could they really build from scratch and attain the
same level of success…or higher??

I was one of those people that trained a whole bunch from
stage, webinars, phones, etc..

The spotlight was now on ME.

It was on!

Since I’ve joined, I’ve never NOT been at #1 in every single
rank that I hit. Obviously it’s not luck. A lot of preparation
has been made to get to this point in my career.

I’m now packing up and heading over to Atlanta Georgia
where I will be presented with my Ambassador Jacket
and Bonus Check of $25,000.

I writing this whole thing while I watch the beautiful desert
sunrise from my hotel room here at the, you guessed it,
Luxor Hotel.

I write this because my heart is heavy of gratitude.

My message today is more about realizing that you need
to have certain bench marks in life that you are able to
look back at and realize how far you’ve come.

I look back at that broke 22 year old kid who didn’t even
have a job at the time, walking around in the lobby downstairs
in 2002.

The Luxor is ONE of my many “reference points” in my career
in Network Marketing. I have many more.

As that old saying goes, “How will you know when you get
there if you don’t even know where you at NOW?”

Create a reference point in your life. Say to yourself
“I will know I’m on track with my life when I am making
X amount of dollars” or “one of my mile markers on my
journey to success will be when I stay in ___ hotel by
this date.”

That’s my message today my friends.

Remember, KILL IT in your business. KILL IT in your LIFE.

KILL the excuses. KILL excuses not to succeed.

Another one of those things??!

Job Jumpers vs. Brand Promoters.

It seems like everytime a network marketer gets hit with this
question (or comment), they stop dead in their tracks.

If anyone asks me, are you doing another MLM…

I simply ask them if they are doing another JOB.

If they have had more than 1 job, I’d like to know if they
are tired of falling for the pyramid scheme that they
are in.

Tired of that 40/40/40 plan?!
