The desire to be FIRST…

Many Entrepreneurs have a great desire to be FIRST in their company, city, town,
to break the ice and capitalize in a big way from timing.

During situations like this, I think it’s important to clarify
what it is folks are truly after.

I once heard said, “It’s not about BEING FIRST in a marketplace. It’s about
being considered FIRST.”

Point is this:

When your product, service, or opportunity is considered, It is far more powerful
to be considered FIRST over your other company reps VERSUS just simple being
FIRST to enroll in the program.

If you want to be FIRST in anything, make sure you
dominate the market first over everything and everyone else.


Is anything wrong with BDA’s, Special Deals, & Bridge Income in Network Marketing?

My opinion is simply this:

1) Traditional Business (banks, wall street, sales, car sales, real estate, universities, etc…) all offer
incentives for people of value to come and work for their corporation. It’s no secret.
However, when reps who get deals say they didn’t get anything when infact they did… that’s fraud.
So bottom line, if disclosed properly I see nothing wrong with special deals if intact the rep
fulfills their part of the agreement and everyone comes out ahead at the end.

2) Although I see nothing wrong with a properly executed BDA, majority of the “behind-closed-doors” deals
create an uneven playing field for a few reasons.

Are Binary Compensation Plans Safe?

Since the Vemma vs FTC shakedown that happened a few months ago, the question
on everyones mind has been “Are Binary Comp Plans Safe ANYMORE?!”

I’ve been asking a number of industry leaders this very question
wanting to get their input.

The opinions that I’ve been getting regarding the safety of the Binary
has been quite interesting to say the least.

It’s safe to say that a large majority of experienced Network Marketers
know that there are a couple advantages to Binary compensation structures
along with a handful of disadvantages.

Let’s talk about some of the ADVANTAGES of a Binary Compensation Plan:

1) Rewards Very Aggressive Builders very heavily.
2) Builds heavy momentum due to massive fear of loss.
3) Creates a fast paced community.
4) Ability to purchase multiple income generation centers (typical in MOST).

Now, let’s chalk up a few of the disadvantages of a Binary Compensation Plan:

1) Creates a handicap on the “inside leg” that no aggressive leader wants to go in.
2) “Binary Creep” is virtually 100% eventual.
3) Larger “buy in” packages to force more volume up the organization to cycle.
4) Fast and aggressive attrition (dropout) rate.
5) Usually, a large majority won’t make a sustainable income which again adds to attrition.

The new broadcast button is LIVE.  It will notify your website viewers when you are LIVE on Periscope.  It’s not a huge deal but it’s one of those things that is pretty cool anyways.



Why Do A Podcast?

  • The percentage of Americans who have listened to a podcast in the past month has almost doubled since 2008, from 9% to 17% by January of 2015. The percentage listening in 2015 was up two points over 2014 levels (15%).
  • Overall awareness of podcasting is increasing at a modest pace, with roughly half (49%) of Americans ages 12 and up aware of podcasting by early 2015, up only slightly since 2010 (45%).
  • Mobile devices are increasingly the preferred way to listen to podcasts. Libsyn also recorded that, of their 2.6 billion podcast downloads in 2014, 63% were requested from mobile devices – up from 43% in 2012.
  • By next year, one industry group estimates, 50% of new cars sold will have Internet connectivity; by 2025, it will be all of them. “When that happens and there are podcasts in everybody’s car, it’s not podcasts anymore,” says Harbinger. “It’s just the radio.”
  • “Stop trying to think about ways to get more listeners [overall] and think about trying to crush it in your niche.”

Ok, let’s get this thing started. We’ll start out with a few steps that will set the foundation here:

1) Create a Title For Your Show:  typically, you will want to name your show something that will describe what your entire show is about. You could add a few key words in there as well.
Also, having your name as the Show Name could work too although not the strongest option.
Here are a couple of Ideas:
– Power Women In Business with [yourname] | Empowering Women In Business.
– Fitness Inspiration; The Latest Tips & Tricks For Weight Loss
– The New Power Mindset; The Attitude Of Success
– Periscope Domination: Periscope Training | Social Media Tips

2) Create your Name (Host Name): Remember that iTunes is an actual search engine so if you want your podcast to rank well in their search engine, you will want to target your niche market with your name. It picks up well with Title and Host Name. Here are a couple of examples:

-Elias Callejo: Network Marketer, Social Media Trainer
-Elias Callejo: Master Fisherman, Bait Maker PHD, Fishing Boss
-Elias Callejo: Master Matchmaker, Online Dating, Tinder Success (rofl)

3) Your Podcast Description.
Ok, so you have 4,000 characters to create this with. Describe to your audience in the best way possible using 4,000 characters or less.

3 KEYS to keeping dropped reps in your Business

A relationship is a relationship because somewhere
along the line, there was value added.

Whether or not someone quits your Business, if
they feel that YOU as a person still adds value
to their life, then you are still able to keep them
in your Business.

Maybe not your Network Marketing company
or affiliate program… but certainly IN
your Business as a customer somehow.

Here are a few ideas:

1) You can continuously offer them informational
products that teach them how to make money
from home as an Online Marketer. If they purchase
that product, you can make commissions! I’d suggest
some sort of 85%-100% commission structure for this
one. Here’s a really good webinar on how to do this.

2) You can offer them information on how to find success
and truly build ANY Home Based Business! I’ve found the
“MyLeadSystemPRO” Program to be the best at this. Here’s
a quick video of mine explaining this.

3) You can create a product (ebook, video course, audio course, etc…)
which brings an enormous amount of value to your contacts.
When purchase your book, you’ll get a 100% commission coming right
to your pocket. If you don’t have your own product right out
of the gate, DON’T WORRY!!! You can still promote valuable material
and still impressive commissions.


When People Quit & Burnt Bridges.

What about them?

People quit things everyday.

People quit jobs.
People quit marriages.
People quit Business Partnerships.
People quit religions.
People quit communications.
People quit Facebook LOL.

When people quit working their Business in a Network Marketing company,
they’ve just simply stopped showing up for work.
They aren’t working for YOU.

Sure, you might be making an override commission off their effort
but it’s THEIR Business they decided to stop working…

I know, it kinda sucks because you won’t be making any money
from them but they are most likely still your friend!

Don’t burn the friendship folks! Just because they stopped
building “Bridge A” with you doesn’t mean that you don’t
want to see them AT ALL and burn every bridge down!

You will never know when that person will hold a valuable
asset down the road as you are traveling down some bridge
needing some assistance.

I’ve found that the best thing to do is ALWAYS bring value
to the relationship whether your friend is IN or OUT
of your organization at the time.

Writing off your friendship just because this person isn’t
recruiting for your company anymore is just plain foolish.
I understand that not everyone is emotionally capable to
keep it professional. I wrote a post recently about “3 ways

“Closing” your prospect & asking for the sale.

Once you’ve made the connection with your prospect, presented your opportunity, validated you and your company, simply ask for the sale! 

So many opportunities are missed simply because a person was too busy connecting and chatting, instead of asking for the business. 

You are looking for serious people to join and become a part of your team, don’t forget to ask. Don’t ever be temped to “lighten up” on the close my friend. 

The experience and hands on training you get by just getting on the phone and making calls, is priceless. The more you are calling, the better you will become. The more you talk to people face to face, the better you will get at that. The more you close the sale, the better you will get at that too.

I’m certainly not saying that. Infact, whatever you decide to rep for the time being is your own decision.

The point is…

Just don’t give up in yourself and your dreams.

in a steady flow of quality leads that are interested in your Business.

If you don’t have a steady flow of quality prospects you don’t have
a Business. Take a peak at the system that myself along with many

If you think about the real reason prospects really buy your products or services,
it’s because at some point they decided they wanted to own your

Stop thinking that you need to get your prospects
to NEED your product or business opportunity.

One thing to observe is what moves your prospects in an emotional
way. This is the only way to get them moving in an orderly fashion into your
sales funnel.

If your prospects don’t really feel like it will add major value to
their life in a WANT fashion, they won’t make a decision to move foward.


Jeunesse Review; Hits $60M in Sales.

I’m still gathering as much information as I can but until then, here a few
interesting things that I’ve gathered. Jeunesse just recently hit $60M in
sales, they are in over 100 countries. About $1.5M-$2M is from the U.S.
and the US is the biggest market in MLM.

That obviously raised my curiosity.

What REALLY raised my curiousity about this company was the fact that it
is actually based in Florida but they almost have NO major distributorship
base in the United States. Majority of their volume is coming from Asia.

There is no doubt they are killing it in Asia… I think the deeper question is
why do they have almost NO reps in the US.

I did some digging and found some interesting things…

I first went to amazon (as I normally do) to find out what their products
are selling for.

Currently their “Luminesce Cellular Rejuvenation and Anti-aging Serum” is selling
for about $60 bucks. It retails for $135 through Jeunesse distributors.  I guess some would ask why Jeunesse’s flagship product can be found about 55% cheaper on Amazon.  To be fair, ALL MLM products are found cheaper on eBay and Amazon sites.

Your friends don’t join you in your MLM
because they know all your trash.

Your friends remember every failure you’ve
ever encountered in life. They remember
every time you said that “this was the one”.

The reason why your friends don’t join you
in you business is because you need to stop

Use the tools my friends.

Instead of yapping your mouth about what you
think you sound good explaining,
use a tool.

Instead of yapping your mouth about what your
comp plan,
send them the video.

Instead of yapping your mouth about your
company founder and the secret plant that was
found at the top of such n such mountain,
send them the video.

Basically, the closer the relationship…
The less you get yapping.


What I’m Learning About Massive Company Exoduses

Here’s what I’ve learned over the last year or so
about when leaders Jump Ship to a NEW MLM..

1. The exodus starts at the bottom, not the TOP.

The high rank leaders will usually follow their money. If they realize people are dropping out of their team and going elsewhere, they will try to find out the reason.

2. The power is in the MID LEVEL leadership.
the masses will follow the mid level because most times, the mid level level leaders are the ones working in the field.

3. The high rank leaders will sometimes “jump” with their MID LEVEL leaders if a substantial
part of their organization seems like they are leaving and agrees to keep organization in tact.

4. There are 3 different types of leaders that jump to new deals.
1) The ones that truly build organically and take NO money or volume. (this is rare)
2) The ones that take money and/or deal

Will you ever STOP recruiting?

Some folks in this industry will lead their followers to believe that
they won’t ever stop recruiting because they ABSOLUTELY LOVE recruiting
and building to the fullest.

Some of these leaders actually truly do believe in this mindset and
actually do it. Reality is, very very few actually stay in this
phase for an extended period of time.

A bunch of these folks will sit on top of a group and help close
out prospects on 3 way calls. That’s not the kind of recruiting I’m
talking about here. I’m speaking about personal production here.

Most distributors that are of that “NON-STOP RECRUITING” mindset don’t
know that they are only one tough question away from quitting.

Eventually, You need to ask yourself a couple of

1) If my opportunity is a residual income machine that is supposed
to provide residual income for the rest of my life, how long would it
take for my income to zero out once I personally step out of the picture?

2) How many people in the group are able to lead WITHOUT me holding their hand?
Would my Business continue to generate the current income and volume
production WITHOUT me recruiting like a wild animal?

Truth is, a few folks really truly do LOVE recruiting
and don’t mind staying in that mode.

However, in most cases, the majority will eventually get tired
of spinning on the hamster wheel.

It might take months or years…
But usually the whole reason most people join MLM is to semi-retire and live life.
Those who TRULY love this industry will retire INTO this industry.

Good leaders create followers.
Great leaders create leaders.

Good leaders love to be needed.
Great leaders love to succeed.

The point here is to ask yourself the question: “Can I sustain this level
of activity for the next 2-3 years?”

The bigger question is: “Can anyone in my group sustain this level of activity
for the next 2-3 years?”

The EVEN bigger question is: “What will happen if I answered NO to both the
questions above?”

Of course, if you are honest with yourself you will need to start getting
serious about finding an answer.

Just because you love what you do, it doesn’t mean it’s a solid business
model financially speaking.
In that case, there would be tons of millionaires in every town
making copious amounts of money from collecting stamps… and I’d be
a multi millionaire just from surfing waves in the ocean. #notgonnahappen

3 Things To Think About With “Paid Traffic”

You’ve heard everybody and their dog talk about paid traffic nowadays. Infact, the only way that you are going anywhere AT ALL with Facebook Pages nowdays are…PAID TRAFFIC.

Here are a few tips:

1) Do you have a system / program to TRACK & MEASURE your results?
If not, you are losing money with PAID TRAFFIC.

2) Are you willing to commit to paying for traffic for at least
6 months? If not, you are losing money with PAID TRAFFIC.

3) Do you have a FUNDED proposal system that puts money in your
pocket WHETHER OR NOT folks join your Business.
